Current Projects:

Currently, I am actively engaged in seeking independent artists, who have recorded their own project but who realize that they need another set of ears to step in for the mix. I've put together a system which enables me to turn out a professional product from home (of which I can be completely proud), without the high overhead involved when having to pay for a mix room. Anyone interested in contacting me about this service should write to me by clicking here.

While finishing Phil's album (below), I began work mixing a project for independent singer/songwriter Richard Cummins. Richard is an excellent artist, who regularly tips his hat in a most pleasant way to The Beatles. His project features one song which is a tribute to Phil Keaggy, and Phil actually makes a guest appearance playing some great solo guitar and adding some of his special vocals.

Recently I finished up coproduction and mixing of an independent album for guitarist Phil Keaggy. It was great to work with Phil again. This is his first vocal album in a long time, so it was an eagerly awaited release. Titled Dream Again, the theme running throughout the song selection is one based around 'relationships.'

Recorded "The Road To Here" - a project for country group Little Big Town, on Equity Records. It was the only country album in 2005 to hit #1 on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart, and has been certified Gold by the RIAA. Congrats, gang!

Mixed a project for Jill Phillips, which was produced by the husband/wife team of Andy Gullahorn/Jill Phillips.

Mixed a project for multi-talented independent singer/songwriter Andy Gullahorn.

Recently, I was fortunate to be able to do a project for Maggie Brown. This lady is amazing. Country/folk/blues roots, and she sings with so much heart and feel. Once in a blue moon, an Artist comes along who FEELS Authentic and Real. Maggie Brown. This lady is nothing but Real. She lives Life and only writes what she feels, from her own experience. When she sings a song, she does it with every bit of the emotion that caused her to write it in the first place. And more importantly, she makes me feel that same emotion and live her experience, as well. A rare gift.

Village Voice listed this record @ #8 on its' "Best Records of 2004."

This record was listed by The Boston Herald as the first of several cd's that "should not be overlooked."

A review of Maggie's record at Women of Country states:
"Rarely does an artist come along whose sound is so completely realized right from the first track. Maggie Brown has delivered one of the best debut albums I’ve ever heard and sets a high benchmark for other records coming out this year. It’s only January and here is one of the albums which will end up making the short list of “must have” releases of the year."

 Women of Country Review

TripleaRadio.com says:
"A solid guitarist, singer and songwriter, Brown's debut is mind-blowingly fantastic...
44 minutes of confident and perfectly executed songs.
And with any good sense, many music lovers will follow the trail to Brown's wonderful debut album."

In the current sea of "artists" Maggie stands out, head and shoulders above the rest, because there is absolutely nothing contrived or manufactured about this one. She's the Real Deal, Maggie Brown. They don't come any more Authentic than this.

Another project I've been working on is one for Little Big Town, a Sony signed (no.. make that, "formerly signed to Sony) country vocal group who are very talented. Great singers, and great material. Working with Producer/Writer Wayne Kirkpatrick on this one.

A while back, I was able to do some more work with rock legend Peter Frampton. I helped him do a new album project, a mix of pop / warm ballads / and that Frampton-Rock thing that he does so well, and he is in top form: he plays guitar as well as ever, and his voice sounds just like it did when he recorded "Frampton Comes Alive" (which, by the way, is still the largest selling live record in history - twenty-five years later!).

If you have been helped by the information and/or services which I provide, and feel compelled by an overwhelming urge to send some form of thankful compensation, I DO accept totally free-will donations. Just click here.
